We believe in supporting our local community and the wonderful contributions many non-profit groups make. We donate a portion of our proceeds from each closing to a specific charitable organization every month.

The Ricky McAllaster Foundation was set up in 2010 to provide teen driving safety programs to Savannah schools and fund local youth lacrosse programs.

Teens H.O.P.E.

Teens Helping Others by Providing Entertainment (HOPE) is a program that benefits teenagers who are in the hospital. Through donations and fundraisers, Teens HOPE has been able to supply laptops, DVDs, an Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 systems for use by teen patients.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

The mission of the Savannah/Chatham Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Inc. program is to provide training and supervision to volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children who are under the jurisdiction of the Chatham County Juvenile Court.

Low Country Down Syndrome Society

The Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society is a family support group to benefit people with Down syndrome and their families through local leadership, outreach, education and advocacy to champion and celebrate acceptance and inclusion. The Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society envisions a world in which all people with different abilities have the opportunity to create their own path in order to enhance their quality of life, realize their life aspirations, and become valued members of welcoming communities.

For the past 45 years, Royce has served those who learn differently, want to improve their academic skills, or seek to attain specific credentials or certifications for the workplace. With students ranging in age from Pre-K to 91 years of age, Royce Learning Center continues to meet the needs of children and adults with learning differences and literacy needs through its three unique programs: Chatham Academy, The Adult & Community Education (ACE) program, and The Tutoring Center.

Telfair Mammography Fund

St. Joseph’s/Candler believes no woman should have to worry about how to pay for potentially life-saving screenings or treatments. The purpose of the SJ/C Mammography Fund is to provide no cost breast health services to uninsured/underinsured individuals. These services include screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds, MRI and image-guided breast biopsies.

Empty Stocking Fund

The Savannah Morning News started the Empty Stocking Fund in 1971 as a way to steer money toward families in need during the holidays. The newspaper works with the Salvation Army and the United Way of the Coastal Empire to facilitate the program and connect applicants with help.
