Matthew D. Morrelli

Matthew D. Morelli joined RTZ Law as an associate in 2013. Matt focuses his practice in matters involving residential and commercial real estate transactions, landlord-tenant disputes, corporate law, probate law, and estate planning.
Prior to joining RTZ Law, Matt worked as a summer associate at Bouhan Falligant, where he handled projects in a variety of practice areas, including litigation and real property law. In 2011, he clerked for the Honorable William T. Moore, Jr., of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia and for the Honorable Michael L. Karpf of the Chatham County Superior Court: Eastern Judicial Circuit of the State of Georgia. As a judicial intern, Matt reviewed pleadings and motions, conducted research, and prepared draft orders and opinions.
A native of Savannah, Matt earned his J.D. at University of Georgia School of Law, where he graduated cum laude and was a Hughes Spalding Scholarship recipient. He graduated from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and a minor in Philosophy.
Throughout his undergraduate career, Matt was a recipient of the prestigious Charter Scholarship, awarded only to the top 200 incoming freshman each year. He also received the SSA Marine-Cooper Scholarship and was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Matt is licensed to practice in Georgia and is a member of the Savannah Young Lawyers Division of the Savannah Bar Association.
